Facilities Available at the Gentle Annie Camping Reserve

The Gentle Annie Camping Reserve, located on the banks of the King River in the middle of the King Valley Wine Region, offers it guests and visitors a wide range of facilities to help ensure their stay is a pleasant one.

Sites:
Powered Sites, Unpowered Sites and a limited number of Onsite Vans are available for public booking.

River Access:
As the beatiful King River passes through the middle of the Gentle Annie Camping Reserve all three campsite areas now have direct river access for swimming, fishing or just sitting near and enjoying .

Open Fires:
Open fires are permitted and welcomed on the grounds of the Gentle Annie Camping Reserve (Fire Restrictions Permitting). Management requests that all fire precautions are taken, that fires are not lit under trees and that any fire is kept under constant supervision at all times.

Amenities:
Amenities provided at the Gentle Annie Camping Reserve include:

Toilet and shower block
Laundry with washing machines and dryer
Clothes Line
Drinking Water tap
Outdoor Camp Kitchen with basin and hot water for doing dishes
Running Tap Water (note this is river water and should not be drunk unboiled)

Information:

A wide variety of pamphlets and information sheets are available from the Gentle Annie Camping Reserve Office detailing things to see and do around Whitfield and the King Valley. If you can't find what you are looking for just ask - we will be more than happy to provide you with any information we can.

Supplies:

Groceries and other items are available from the nearby (around 2km) Whitfield General Store with the Mountainview Hotel (just a little futher down the road) able to cater for all your Beer/Wine/Spirits needs as well as the countless wineries in the area. The Cheshunt General store (around 7km away) also offers a wide range of produce,fresh meat, fruit and vegetables.
